Pictorial: Black and gold inspired eyemake up

This black and gold inspired eye-make up is easy to create! Keep reading for a step by step pictorial.

Step 1. Apply eyeshadow primer all over the eyelid. This helps prevent creasing and helps increase the staying power of the eye shadow.

Step 2. Apply a gold shimmery eyeshadow using a rounded flat brush all over the lid and just above the crease. Also, add this colour to the bottom inner 2/3 of the lashline. Here I am using "Half-baked" from Urban Decay the Naked palette.

Step 3. Using a pointed blending brush apply a black eyeshadow (I'm using "Creep" from Urban Decay Naked palette) in a "V" shape concentrating on the outer 1/3 of the eye and blend out any harsh line. Also add this colour to the bottom outer 1/3 of the eye.

Step 4. Using a flat round-ended brush, take a dark grey eyeshadow and blend it into the crease as well to provide a better transition between the black and gold shadows. Take time with blending, this will help give that "smokey" effect.

Step 5. Pat more of the gold shadow over the lid concentrating in the middle to intensify the colour.

6. Using a pencil eyeliner, tightline both the top and bottom waterlines. I am using Urban Decay's 24/7 (blah).

7. Create a wing using a liquid or gel eyeliner. Here I used Stila (blah)

8. Curl and apply mascara to lashes. You can add false eyelashes if you wish

There you have it :) Will you give this a try?

Stay beautiful, be you xoxo.
